The experiment is loading. This should take about 5 seconds.
This experiment tests your ability to remember colors.
To do this, you will use a slider to adjust a new set of squares until you think the number of yellow squares matches the exact number from the last frame of the animation before the mask.
The squares in the new set will not be in the same places. Your job is only to match the number of ending color squares. Don't worry about the locations. Once you're satisfied with your judgment, you'll click a button to proceed to the next trial.
ContinueThere will be 30 trials, which should take you around 10 minutes to complete.
The experiment must be completed in fullscreen. Please do not exit fullscreen unless you no longer want to participate in the experiment. To enter fullscreen and continue, click the button below.
ContinueFirst, you'll do an example, to help you understand the task. In this example, the last frame of the animation will remain on screen the whole time and there will be no mask. In the actual study, the animation will be covered by a mask and disappear and you'll have to rely on your memory!

Now we'll do 3 practice trials.
These will be much harder because they will be exactly like the real trials. The animation will be covered by a mask and disappear. It will not still be on the screen while you respond. You will have to rely on your memory in order to tell us the number of ending color squares from the last frame. (And the slider will not turn green when you are close to the right position like it did before.)
Remember, .
ContinueNow we'll start the real trials. There will be 30 trials. They are designed to be challenging. Just do the best job that you can to match the number of ending color squares that exactly match the last frame of the animation before the mask.
BeginAdjust the slider to choose the number of ending color squares in the last frame before the animation ended. Keep adjusting until you are satisfied with the match!
