This experiment tests your ability to remember what the last frame of a video looked like.

On each trial, a video will play in the center of the screen and then be covered up by a "mask" image and disappear. After the video disappears, you will be given a chance to report what that last frame of the video looked like.

After the mask image disappears, two images will appear. Using your arrow keys, select the image that best matches your memory of what the last frame of the video was. To choose the left image, press the left arrow key; to choose the right image, press the right arrow key.

There will be 60 trials, which should take you around 15 minutes to complete.

The experiment must be completed in fullscreen. Please do not exit fullscreen unless you no longer want to participate in the experment. To enter fullscreen and continue, click the button below.

First, you'll do an example, so you can understand the task. In this example, the last frame of the video will remain on screen the whole time. In the actual study, the video will disappear and you'll have to rely on your memory!

Once you choose the matching image by pressing on the correct arrow key, you can start the actual study. To reveal the video and options, click the "Play" button below.

Now we'll do 3 practice trials.

These will be harder because they will be exactly like the real trials. The video will be covered by a mask and disappear when it ends. It will not still be on the screen while you respond. You will have to rely on your memory in order to match the last frame.
